Join SHRM Guam on May 14th, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness by discussing "Workplace & Well-Being" with an esteemed panel of subject matter experts in behavioral health and wellness moderated by Charlotte Huntsman, Chief Human Resources Officer at Guam Regional Medical City.
Overview
Employers who care for employee mental health and wellbeing see numerous measurable benefits, from higher productivity and profitability to lower turnover and fewer safety incidents. Fostering employee wellbeing is good for people and businesses. Promoting wellbeing can help prevent stress and create positive working environments where individuals and organizations can thrive.
Good health and wellbeing can be a core enabler of employee engagement and organizational performance. However, wellbeing initiatives often fall short of potential because they stand alone, isolated from everyday business. To gain real benefit, employee wellbeing priorities must be integrated throughout an organization, embedded in its culture, leadership and people management.
HR Professionals have a lead role to play in steering the health and wellbeing agenda in organizations. They need to ensure that managers regard it as a priority and integrate wellbeing practices into the organization’s day-to-day operations. They need to communicate the benefits of a healthy workplace and prioritizing mental health. HR Professionals need to work closely with leaders and provide practical guidance to ensure that policies and practices are implemented consistently and with compassion.
Attendees will learn how to:

- Foster a culture of wellness and work-life balance
