Dana A. Gutierrez, a partner with the law firm Thompson Gutierrez and Alcantara, P.C., recently attended the SHRM Employment Law & Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. in March 2015. During our Breakfast Briefing, she will discuss the highlights of recent U.S. Supreme Court employment law decisions from the last few terms and how these decisions impact the employer community. This briefing will include a review of recently decided and pending cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, including the pregnancy discrimination case, Young v. United Parcel Service. The review will also touch upon the status of the anticipated proposed rule to amend the “White Collar” Exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
