In this first SHRM Guam Chapter Breakfast Briefing of 2022, Mike Pangelinan, a Partner with the law firm of Calvo Fisher & Jacob LLP and SHRM Guam's VP of Programs, will discuss COVID-19 laws and regulations affecting Guam employers. This Briefing will cover current mask wearing, social distancing, capacity regulations, and the legal status of OSHA's new Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) requiring that employers with 100 or more employees ensure their employees are vaccinated or tested weekly, as well as how to comply with the ETS. Related topics covered in this Briefing will include how to handle an employee's request for a medical or religious exemption and how to accommodate employees with "Long COVID" under the ADA and FMLA.

Mike also serves on a variety of boards and commissions, including the Guam Public Utilities Commission, Guam Conservatory of Arts, and Guam Sports Events, Inc.
