AN UPDATE YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!

OVERVIEW OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND OFCCP

This session is about the HR practice of Equal Employment Opportunity Laws, HR Diversity and Inclusion, its foundations and impact on Affirmative Action Plans.

Get a practical understanding of underutilization of women and minorities, practical guide to Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act. Helping you calculate your company profile and expanding your diverse workforce.

This session takes you out of the boredom of AAP and relates the human element to your affirmative action process and how it relates to EEO Laws.

This AAP training offers practical guidance to the affirmative action plan process. You will learn the Foundations of Written Affirmative Action Plans and AAP Requirements

This breakfast briefing will also provide an introduction to OFCCP. It includes OFCCP’s mission, the laws we enforce, which employers are covered, which employees and applicants are covered, and how we ensure that those employers who are covered comply with the regulatory requirements.

The presentation is directed both to employers who are considering entering into federal contracting and non-federal contractors. It may be your first exposure to the agency and the requirements that come with receiving federal contract and subcontract dollars.

For those employers who are established (new or otherwise) federal contractors serving as either a prime or sub-contractor, this presentation will serve as a review of OFCCP’s mission, affirmative action, laws, priorities and evaluation & complaint processes.

Lorraine S. Okada - Owner/Business Consultant, Okada Managing Consulting Services

Philip L. Marlowe - U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), EEO and Compliance Officer for Guam and the CNMI
