Looking Ahead ~ Managing the Changes in Human Resources

Please join us for a full day of learning and development as we sharpen our saws and manage through the changes in Human Resources (HR).

We will have speakers from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the US Department of Labor (USDOL), and the Guam Department of Labor (GDOL) to speak about the recent regulations implementing new protections for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in the workplace, and Wage & Hour law updates.   The GDOL and the American Job Center (AJC) will present initiatives geared to renew their partnership with the business community.

The afternoon session will be about “YOU” and developing your skills.  Understanding our Emotional Intelligence is important in how this impacts you in your daily work life.  Our presenter will share more details on this critical subject.  We will hear from a panel of business leaders about what they seek in their HR professionals and how they can become more strategic in managing the bottom line of the organization.

Keynote Speaker:  Scott Ferrin, SHRM-SCP, PMP, Field Services Director with the SHRM National office will attend our conference and present “The Future of HR: Promoting Business Success in a Changing Global Workplace”;  he will touch on the subject related to the core competencies of HR.
